Message From State Superintendent Christopher A. Koch

I want to make you aware of another webinar we're working on, this one in partnership with the Illinois PTA. The first Back-to-School Webinar for parents is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9. This webinar is geared specifically toward parents, and we're hosting it at a time we hope will be more conducive to their participation.

We'll discuss how schools are putting in place the new Illinois Learning Standards and assessments align ed to those standards, and we will include local teachers to provide a classroom perspective. We'll also focus on parent engagement and the partnerships necessary between families and local schools to help students reach their full potential. Interested parents can register at www1.gotomeeting.com/register/185876249. Please share this information with your school communities.

Our Mission:
To prepare the students of our community
for their future so they may become a responsible member of society.
